Wrinkle Fillers
Patients and their doctors have been searching for the perfect wrinkle filler for ages. Wrinkle fill procedures achieve impressive results, but their effects are short-lived. These injections are placed just beneath your skin where your body accepts it as its own. By supplementing your skin’s own collagen with wrinkle fillers, fine lines and most scars are vastly minimized until your body slowly absorbs them.

Prior to Surgery
Because wrinkle fillers are merely injections, there is no need for pre-op procedures or examinations. You simply schedule your treatment and the doctor will do the rest.

The Procedure
Wrinkle fillers are performed on an outpatient basis. Wrinkle filler injections sometimes referred to as a lunchtime procedure; it usually takes less than twenty minutes of your time. Wrinkle filler injections are relatively painless and are performed with a local anesthetic. They are injected under your skin, beneath the wrinkle, through tiny needles. Several injections may be required, depending on the depth and length of the wrinkle.

After Your Surgery
Following filler injections, normal activities can be resumed immediately. Discomfort is minimal. The treatment site may have a little swelling, which may last a few hours. There may be some slight bruising which can be covered with make-up. Depending on the filler material used and the area treated, correction usually lasts from three months to a year or more.

Risks
Allergic reactions are rare, but may consist of prolonged redness, itching, and/or firmness at the injection site.

While there is always an element of risk, having an American-trained surgeon, a professional staff and a world-class hospital make your Panama brow lift at Hospital Punta Pacifica, Affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine International, a safe and rewarding procedure.
